
On March 3–4, 2026, Millenium Afrikulture Madagascar took part in the capacity‑building workshop for members of the Climate Change Thematic Group (GTCC). This workshop was part of a broader effort to strengthen the technical and organizational skills of stakeholders engaged in the fight against climate change in Madagascar.
Workshop Objectives
- Enhance knowledge of GTCC members on climate issues and governance mechanisms.
- Improve institutional capacities for effective monitoring of national policies and strategies.
- Promote collaboration among institutions, civil society, and technical partners.
Millenium Afrikulture Maadagascar’s Contribution
The presence of Millenium Afrikulture Madagascar made it possible to:
- Integrate cultural and inclusive dimensions into climate discussions.
- Promote participatory communication, highlighting vulnerable communities.
- Strengthen institutional advocacy for a holistic approach linking culture, environment, and sustainable development.
Perspectives
This workshop marked a key step for the Climate Change Thematic Group (GTCC), consolidating its role as a national coordination platform. Through its involvement, Millenium Afrikulture Madagascar helped broaden the scope of discussions and positioned culture as a driver of resilience in the face of environmental challenges.
